 Post subject: stall?

i noticed that when my d88 is in park idleing, and i touch the gas get it up to maybe 4500 it will chug and stall.. i havent had this problem on the road mostly because its not insured so i dont drive it often, any suggestions much appreciated

and i just replaced the plugs,fuel pump, fuel filter, had the gas tank cleaned (there was 2 stroke in it cause of my mom) and adjusted the idle.. so im still kinda stumped

if it stalls at 4500, then just rev it to 4300 :lol: isn't 4500 close to red line anyway? think of it as a rev limiter, haha

sorry, hope someone has a real suggestion. :D

Yeah, I'm not sure why you have to rev it that high in park... If you arent having the problem on the street, just dont rev it so high. I think your engine is likely complaining more than anything... check your air filter.

I had a problem recently, my MAF failed on me, my car wouldnt wanna rev past 2500rpm, it was jerk, and the idle was rough, though it sounded like a big block. I replaced it and it was fine after that, maybe that could be the problem with urs? or TPS or something along those lines.

i think he's carburrated... no tps, MAF or other sensors to worry about
