Does anyone know where I can get the suction manifold that is inside the power steering reservoir? It is made of cast metal. I tried to repair it using JB weld but weld failed. FYI it is for a 1957 Super 88, 371 c.i. engine that has the older style can reservoir sitting on top of the power steering pump. The pump is good so I was hoping I did to have to buy a new pump. Or has anyone tried it with out the manifold. I am guessing the manifold helps reduce the turbulence that could be generated in the pump reservoir. last, I thought I would replace the reservoir cap seal. It appeared to have a hardened sealed in the cap, and looks like it is a cork seal. Can anyone confirm this?
