My 83' Delta 88 is eating mad gas. Me and my stepfather have checked a lot of stuff out on it. There is nothing wrong with the fuel line. No one can siphen gas out of my tank b/c I have a locking cap. So i'm just wanting to get feedback on what could be done to increase fuel efficiency.

Well, how long have you had the car? If you just got it then you need to know that those large rear wheel drive Olds arent too good on gas. Also keeping proper tire pressure helps to save gas.

I've had it about 9 months. This just started happening about 2 weeks ago and its killing my wallet. I handled the tires and they are at proper pressure.

Now Im no mechanic, but that car should be carberated if its a V8, V6 I THINK is fuel injected (3.8 litre Buick V6). Maybe some STP fuel system cleaner, that stuff that you dump into the gas tank. They have it for fuel injectors or your whole fuel system. Also maybe you should clean your carb? Just a shot in the dark, but hope I helped!

no vacuum leaks anywhere? that'll cause rough milage. so will bad timing, improper choke adjustment etc...
sounds like a carb kit in the future? they're cheap compared to gas.
