Hi 67cutlass, hello everyone,

Welcome to TOC,

Update?

There were 2 and 4V carbs available on all 330s, but your VIN number says you have a V8, not which one.

If you use the stock 66-67 4V pieces, no one will know it was changed.

Slap?

Is it a Quadrajet? By revived, do you mean rebuilt?

Quote:
........ are manifolds still available? ........

Yes, both new and used.

Quote:
........ i would like a little more power for my olds but wanna be able to convert it back to stock if needed be cause it's numbers matching ........

"Numbers matching" and "more power" are very compatible in any normal street application.

Yes. The actual power increases do not come from exterior bolt ons. In many cases, headers would be the exception.

How you would go about it would depend how much power you want, how you will use it, how much fuel mileage/comfort/reliability you are willing to give up, and how much you want to spend to get it.

Merry Christmas to you also.

Regards, Norm

i just wanna make it into a sleeper, so i still want the reliability but more power. so i can smoke the odd skittle rice rocket, with a REAL rocket ;).
if im not mistaken the 4bbl should give me around 300 hp ? and yes it is a quadrajet wich i just need to rebuilt, but wanted to be sure i could use it before i started that. where could i find manifolds? i can find them anywhere for the 350 but never find one for the 330.
thanks Ricardo

OK, no visual changes to the exterior or to the sound.

2" dual exhausts, with OEM replacement mufflers, exiting from the factory positions. Add the Q-jet and you will have the slower ones well covered.

I don't see a carb change netting you 50 HP, but you will feel a difference after it gets moving. How much and at what speed, will depend on your trans, rear gears , and tire sizes.

Officially, the difference in HP between your 250 and the 320 HP engine, was due to higher compression and the Q-jet. But, factory HP ratings have always been just that, ratings.

Good start.

Aftermarket catalog's show the same manifold for 307, 330, 350, and 403. Other than possible cosmetics, they should be the same.

It's a shame you're not closer- I have 3 or 4 small block 4 barrel manifolds you could have.

if you get into the motor , don't over cam it. I had great success with a performer cam from edelbrock-Not the r.p.m. -in my 330. "splitting" the exhaust helped alot, too. I personally used Vista manifolds (from a 72) instead of blocking off the passenger side inlet, but just letting it breathe made a HUGE difference.

the 330 was a killer little motor for me for a long time. There is alot you can do with it and maintain drivability.

When I finally "topped out", I had it pushing around 400 h.p., but then I decided to build a "big" motor and go faster.
