I have a 1992 Cutlass Superme S with a stock 3.1L. I accuired a 2004 3500 LX9 (out of a malibu or something). I would like to put it in my supreme. I think it can be done becouse the new 3500 LX9 is based of the older 3400 which would fit in the car. Has any one done a transplant like this? Can it be done?

I know that the engine will fit in the compartment. My real question is whether or not the 3500 will just bolt in to that car. Will I have to replace the exhaust manifold? Will the old water pump bolt in? Can I use the same old computer from the 3100? The engine looks almost the same, how different is it?
