you know, if a person was thinking, and really wanted to have this modification, would he/she not just put a valve on the TB coolant lines? This way, a person could open the coolant lines back up for winter?

BTW, I have no plans of trying this myself. I dont even have enough free time to install my new headlight, or that new starter I've had sitting around for months!

But really, what is the true gain? Are the ends worth the means? My gut tells me no, but the ass dyno seems to say yes. Maybe someone close to a track could design a bypass, and make a few runs of each. This way we can determine if there is any difference in time. Dyno figures would be nice too, but "real world" figures would be better IMHO. The valve is a good idea for this, but I think somehow maintaining the coolant circulaton would be better. Is there anything after the TB in that circut that the coolant flows through?

No clue, actually. I have never followed the coolant lines to see where they go. I bet there are many other modifications one could work on with much better results.

Andrew, I have to ask. Whats up with the chuck norris thing? ;-)

Chuck Norris.... Theres a site that has random "facts" about Chuck Norris. I saw it awhile ago, now Conan O'Brian is featuring it on his show. It is dumb, and that is exactly why its funny. For instance, "Chuck Norris is currently suing NBC over the title "Law and Order" claiming those terms are trademarked names for his left and right legs."

The site can be found here...

enjoy!
