BTW, I have no plans of trying this myself. I dont even have enough free time to install my new headlight, or that new starter I've had sitting around for months!
But really, what is the true gain? Are the ends worth the means? My gut tells me no, but the ass dyno seems to say yes. Maybe someone close to a track could design a bypass, and make a few runs of each. This way we can determine if there is any difference in time. Dyno figures would be nice too, but "real world" figures would be better IMHO. The valve is a good idea for this, but I think somehow maintaining the coolant circulaton would be better. Is there anything after the TB in that circut that the coolant flows through?
