To paraphrase the tech bulletin: "Cleaning the MAF is not recommended as it can be easily damaged, causing the need for replacement".

If the factory air cleaner were kept in place and PM rerformed on schedule, I would question the need for cleaning the MAF.

Aftermarket filters might be a different story.
