Looks like everyone is in agreement. Except, 91buickman.

cavalier is a j-body vehicle as is the alero its like comparing the bonniveille to the park ave- engine wise- theres no diffrence but the sheetmetal on the outside, As for engine managment there are choices out there.

in agreement with what? for 2.2 02' motors there are supercharger and turbo kits out there which is what the OP asked for. Straight to the point.

Not relevant. OP wants a supercharger for his '02 Alero.

BTW, Have you got that that T04 up and running on your Buick yet?

91buickman wrote:

You posted three sources that disagree with you. Now, post one that is actually fits the needs of the OP.

91buickman wrote:

Not according to the following site:

mantapart.com FAQ wrote:

The correct controller for the application, is part of the kit. Without a controller, it is not a kit.

91buickman wrote:

Unless it is compatible with his '02 Alero, it is not what he asked for.

Here it is, again:

Thtas the beauty of GM's platform sharing, what fits the cavalier will fit the alero.

as for my turbo someone made me a deal on it i couldnt resist, and i wanted a slighty smaller A/R on the exaust side with a internal wastegate anyway. Im waiting for my intercooler, and my 4t60-HD trans

dumb&dumber wrote:

They all fit if he chooses to pursue the forced induction route. once again the alero uses the 2.2 the kits stated above are for the same engine, diffrent car but same application. What about that do you not understand?

So then why do they have the 2.2 pictured with a supercharger? that means that there is PCM programing available

Im sorry but i provided the links, just as easy as it was for me to find it the op can also find the engine mangement of choice to suit him or better yet you could look for him and actually help the thread....are we done here or do you have more usless quotes to fill up the forum with?

Rhetorical is a fancy way of saying, the kit does not fit his '02 Alero.

91buickman wrote:

BTW: We all know it does. It is common knowledge.

It has nothing to do with its use on his '02 Alero.

And we will be waiting for you to post a link to it.

You already said that. It does not help the OP.

91buickman wrote:

Different car, different application, different subject.

If it was the same application, they would be selling that kit for the '02 Alero.

91buickman wrote:
........ What about that do you not understand? ........

The part where you say there is a kit for the '02 Alero, but you cannot show it to us, or tell us who sells it.

91buickman wrote:
........ why do they have the 2.2 pictured with a supercharger? ........

Because the kit is for Cavalier/Sunbird. If it was for a '02 Alero, we would have given him some of the many links that would be all over the internet.

91buickman wrote:

That means it will be easy for you to post a link to one of the many suppliers who sell the controller for the '02 Alero.

i provided the links ........

Do it again. Everyone missed them.

91buickman wrote:

So, are you saying, every time anyone asks a question we should tell them to "Google" for the answer?

If you actually found a relevant source, why are you telling the OP to "Google" for it? Why not just post the link?

From the looks of it, so far, I think we are just beginning.
