 Post subject: tires i need tire help

i have P185/75R14 and i was wondering if i can put P175/65R14 on cuz i got a deal for a pair willit do any thing lower the car or mess anything up if i put them on

They will likely make your speedo read a little fast since they are shorter in height compared to the 185/75R14 tires you have.

Stroker can give you better details as he's the tire man. :) But from what I found in some of the specs sheets from a few different manufacturers is that the 185/75R14 tire is 25" tall while the 175/65R14 tire is only 23.1" tall.

P175/65R14s are a standard tire for the Ford Escort and an optional tire for the Dodge Neon, both of which are alot smaller than your car. I'd advise against putting them on, ESPECIALLY if you're only installing two. They will make the car handle funny, as well as screw up your speedometer calibration and ABS system, if your car has it. Just because its a deal doesn't mean its a wise idea....
