There's a red button under the steering wheel column that my dad and I can't figure out what it is. Anybody got a clue?

Follow the wiring. That doesnt sound like a stock item to me. Maybe its the "Oh shyt" button or the "f*ck it!" button. The best advice I can give you is to follow wires.

my dads toyota has a switch under the column to turn off the air bags. but i duno if you even have them
