High performance is not an issue at the moment, but possibly in the future.

I don't mind if someone shoots this down or contradicts me, as I'm not an expert with these cars, this is just my experience.

Since you said perfomance could become a later issue, consider Sport adjustable shocks. KYB makes them (don't know about for your car sorry..) as well as Tokico. I just put tokico sport adjustables on my 85 pontiac 350'd firebird, and I love them to death. Set them to road or track settings, 1-5, adn they work great. 3 is fine for daily driving, 4 is a bit more tight, and what i prefer, but look into it. Tokico runs rather expensive though, so ya know. just my cents.

This is a good idea, provided the rest of the suspension will match the performance of the shock. The ability to increase the stiffness of the shock is nice, but shocks are dampners, and wont make up for bad springs or other components.

Noted, And personally I did the full suspension at once, including ball joints and the such. Just mentioned it because someone said hold off on the springs for him, and also cause he stated didn't want to do it all yet i spose, but it leaves him with options :-)

Hi onfir3, all,

Welcome to TOC.

No reason to use bold fonts, and even less reason to alter a quote.

Quote:
........ I don't mind if someone shoots this down or contradicts me ........

Should be a "given" if one wants to post on a "discussion" board.

Quote:

I don't believe anyone here is.

If/when it does, he will start another thread and we will discuss his needs. Not very productive to discuss aftermarket shocks without knowing the actual application.

Quote:

That "someone" advised him to deal with the obvious (a leaking shock) problem first, then go from there. It's possible one of his shocks is the problem. I've seen it happen, twice.

Regards, Norm
