Speaking for others is a lofty goal, especially for one who has not yet learned to speak for himself.

So..Since you may claim(not saying you did)that you can speak for yourself..isn't that a bit modest of you?...

I bought that very same emblem on ebay back in June to replace a worn original on my car. It was a NOS item still in the original package. Both ebay and the junk yard do offer good sources of emblems. Junk yard emblems in my experiance have been quick fixes, meaning they do work as emblems just fine, but may be worn or damaged and more suited for a daily driver then a show car. Ebay does offer many more emblems, often in better shape (if the buyer is careful to read the whole discription) but will usually cost more due to shipping charges and can take up to several weeks to arrive. Another option is to visit your local GM dealership. They still can get many items for your car. Though 2 GM dealerships I have ordered a licesnce plate bracket, weatherstripe, 2 emblems, hub cap key. and turn signal lense. I did pay top dollar for all but they are never used parts and they were overnight shipping. All parts bought though GM have a 1 year warrentee.
As far as wax, Ive tried many on my cars:
Turtle Wax- I use it all the time on my Buick, the shine isnt as deep nor the reflection clear as more expensive wax but Ive found it to last much longer, and at $5 a bottle is much cheeper. For that daily driver I highly reccomend Turtle Wax products. Their chome polish and wheel cleaner also work well.
I have used Mothers Wax (red can) and found it to ware off quickly. Even with 2 coats of wax, after 2-3 weeks the paint nolonger looks sharp even without rain and direct sunlight.
Meguiars Tech Wax- Wouldnt reccomend because it was expensive ($16) and didnt leave the paint looking good. It left an odd haze in the paint that looked odd. After trying it on 3 cars I stopped using it since the results were always the same. It also wore off quickly.
My wax of choice is Meguiars Gold Class, at $10 its right in the middle of the others in cost, and it leaves the paint looking deep with a great reflection. It last longer then the Tech Wax and Mothers, but not as long as the Turtle Wax.
My verdict- Everyday driver use Turtle wax (as on my Buick), for the car that doesnt go out on rainy days (Olds) I like Meguiars. Both offer different advantages, and your personal use of the car will determine which it right for you.

ahondadriversnightmare wrote: ........ Since you may claim (not saying you did) ........ I may claim? Not saying I did? Excellent example of one who has trouble speaking for himself, and of one who cannot stay on topic. Also reminds me of someone who is on glue. ahondadriversnightmare wrote: ........ that you can speak for yourself ........ I do not think there is the smallest doubt, in anyones mind, that I can, and do, speak for myself. ahondadriversnightmare wrote: ........ isn't that a bit modest of you?...
Honest, would be the most accurate assessment.

Quote: Some ppl like giving an opinion on something! without getting hassled about it.
This is the problem! Why take someone questioning your opinion (we will call this question asking/analysis of a statement) personally? Thats what a dicusssion board is all about. If I think you are wrong, or that there might be a better way to go with the advice you are giving, you're damn right I am gonna analyze what you are saying and question you about it, as well as offer what I think is a better solution. I could care less who it is or what they drive or what they think of me. Feelings arent what a board is about, its about the transfer, collabration, creation, and analysis of knowledge. You get a bunch of people intrested in one thing together, and together, their individual knowledge is furthered, and the item of intrest is likely better for it.
If I question the validity of a comment, its up to me and the rest of the members from the creation and spread of misinformation. Thats the other side of it. Are you saying that I am wrong for 'hassling' your opinion? Its not a statement of fact, its a subjective statement.
Cmon... no one is after blood...

andrewk:
So, what ahondadriversnightmare was saying (without saying it) was, that he was being hassled? I wonder why he didn't just say so. Since he refuses to answer simple questions, I guess we'll never know.
It seems to me, his statement about someone being "on glue" has him on the opposite side of the same situation. Difference is, he is actually taking shots and, they are obviously intentional.
ahondadriversnightmare:
Do you believe hassles/harassment/personal attacks are only OK, if you are the aggressor?
