Just curious to see what everyone does....

Recently got hired at a new place, Saline Lectronics.

Kind of cool...got interviewed a month ago and they finally decided to call a couple weeks ago.

Basically we manufacturer circuit boards here in the USA. Lots of machines, but what the machines can't do...they need people. That's where I'm at....Hand Soldering. I check, double check, triple check boards....clean em up, solder parts on....all kinds of stuff....

To be honest it does get a little boring after a while, but once you finish one job you get to move on to some different circuit boards...yaaay

Not sure how long I'll work there, said they are fairly flexible with people that are going to school...like me.

$10 an hour, plus we're in overtime hours...usually 6am-2:30pm, now 6am-4:30pm. $15 per hour that's overtime...had 53 hours in last week.

Tired to say the least...

I am a service manager/lead service technician at a small engine shop.

Pays 15 bucks an hour, plus overtime, plus lots of other fringe benefits like use of company vehicle, free storage for my toys, and real flexible hours.

I basically get to come and go as I need to, but last week was 52 hours, and I am at 41 already this week.

The money's damn good though.

The best part is, I'm still in school...

I worked three years in a college caf dishroom as well as a member of the dorm maintenance crew. After I started law school, though, I needed more time for studying (not to mention multiple on-the-job injuries) so I took a job working for the apartment complex where I live as an on-site night manager and leasing agent. Worst. Job. EVER. An ulcer and several cruddy terms of school later I'm unemployed until I can get my grades back in order.

I'm used to doing manual labor sorts of jobs and when I had to quit that I was lost until I started working on fixing up my car. I'm new to the hobby but I'm trying my best to learn.

About 3 months ago, I took a job with an electrical contractor near me, doing fleet maintenance, and a number of other tasks. I'm the "shop guy" I guess you would call it- I do stuff in the office too though.

My boss is a true Olds guy- He has two 69's, one street car with 20k original miles that's been frame-off resto-rodded, and a 9 second race car, currently torn down. It feels good to be working on Olds stuff again.
