I like the shaved look, and there are lots of little touches there that I didn't notice at first, but are neat looking.

What appeals to you about the taillights? They look odd to me, but I would be interested to know what your motivation/inspiration was behind them.

Wow, very custom...

It's not exactly my cup of tea but my hat is off to you for the effort it looks like that took, congrats.

Too bad you're going to sell it, it looks like alot of personal touches and alot of effort went into that car.

well the tail lights was to bring old skool in with the new, be totaly different iam the 2nd alero to run a different tail light, every one does the classic french, i took the term frenching to a different level

i sure hope that guy is joking when you say you dont get the point or its a abomination, why would you say that, do you have the talent to do this?? are you wanting to be taught or want to know how, are you jealous of the car why would you say something i built is a abomination i dont get it

but its not for everyone to like i didnt build the car for you guys i built it for me, i love how it came out, its a head turner for sure, and who ever buys it will have a well built, well maintained car with 35k on the clock

abomination?? i think not

Understandable, since there is a culture out there, that you are not aware of.

The only difference is: It is a Merc not an Olds.

Click here to learn about the car, and here for the Customizer.

When the OP chose "old school" he joined an elite group.

Well, I understand doing that to an old classic like that, but doing stuff like that to a modern car boggles my mind. Seems this is a ricer age.

The car is a '51. The work was finished in '52. It was a "modern car" at the time.

Does that make it a "ricer"?

how in the world is my car a "ricer", theres no body kit, i made my own custom bumper, the deck lid is in tribute to the "osv" alero, i have no neon lights no where, no led lighting, no tv`s no where, no racing seats, nothing in or on the car is "ricer"

i dont get it, lol its mind boggling that lol my car would be called "ricer", when even guys at the hunert car pile up were amazed by the work and got nothing but compliments

"ricer" i thinnk not, old skool body work mixed in with the new, very kool, i think someone is just jealous of something you cant do

Doesn't have to have a bodykit to be considered rice. Tasteless and unnecessary mods make it. The rims, decklid, rims, rear light mod or whatever the hell it is make it rice. Basically doing something other then what was offered stock is rice, which the car falls under rice  Minor things like tasteful wheels no larger then 2" over stock, or something like a new radio is not rice.

Before being called a hypocrite my vehicle's appearance is all stock.

Why not just say "I don't like it" and quit looking?

I like it. It's a mix of old school on a new car. Gives me a little inspiration for my Intrigue.

Great job
8-)

thanks dude

you apprently dont know or understand the word "custom" those are 18 `s not 20`s, you dont apprently know who von dutch is, or the old custom guys,

what the tail lights its called open frenching, the bumppers i made i built, and its all plastic, my car is not a honda or an import i dont have a 10 foot tall wing, or anything to make it a ricer

i think its just becasue your jealous, you dont know and never will know the meaning of custom, if its not store bought it must not be custom right, should i have put a body kit on it, neon lights everywhere

lambo doors, huge system, tv`s, some crazy ass paint job, would that have beenn better, or should i drive a grandma car like your self and be a close minded clueless person about being different
