I just purchased my first olds cutlass (442 tribute; 1970) and I would like to find a modern radio for the dash opening. Prior to this, I have always owned '67 - '69 Camaros and was able to find stereo radios at Best Buy believe it or not that had 'posts' at 6 inches apart. I had to make a new face plate but did not have to carve up the dash. This has been about 8 years ago and only cost a little over $125.00. Now the radios don't have posts and don't fit the opening except if I order a special made offering at well over $300. Does anyone know of a radio that will fit and doesn't require me to get a second job? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Welcome to TOC

I know of this company. Their stuff may be more expensive than you're looking for, but it's worth a look.

Thanks. I've heard of them. I don't see any listings for a Cutlass or any Olds for that matter. I sent them an inquiry.

I found a Oldsmobile radio at http://www.vintagecarradio.com for my 1970 Cutlass. Sounds pretty good and it came with bluetooth.
