Well, if you toss on a $250 paint job, add some hubcaps, and clean that engine, you could have a real nice car. If it started right up after sitting for 5 months then that alone makes it worth fixen.

take it easy on him!!! its ok not to like his car, but I think he likes it... So what wrong with that? He's a fellow TOC member regardless of the status of his car, or the parts and stickers he chose to add onto his car.

I think that I would paint the black steelies the body color, and stick some of those spinning hub cabs like 92Bravada said...

The body looks fairly straight... Maybe you should try your hand at a cheap paint job. I would try white, it is very easy to work with and hides minor imperfections.

when i get some more money in like twomonths i be buyin them alero rims and i be painting the car triple black with a red metillic flake in the paint o and by the way thanks 88delta 88 for standing up for me seem s every move i make around here i get push around in here and im reallY getting tried of it like he said it don t madder what parts i putt on my car im a freakin toc member u should respect that well now that i got that out my system

Your car looks like it's comming alont nicely. I know how hard it is to do anything to a car when you have no money. Once you get the rims and the paint it will be one of the best cars on toc. I bet your system kicks a$$, it looks sweet too. Keep up the good work.

whoa, whoa, whoa 88delta.....

I simply said I was gonna keep my mouth shut on this one..I didn't say his car was a P.O.S....If you'd like to hear my opinion, here it is in a nutshell....

Personally, do I like it? No, I don't..BUT, you're talking to a person who grew up around classic musclecars, works on classic musclecars, is the president of a car club which has mostly all classic musclecars and street rods, and has a driveway full of classic musclecars, so my opinion is a bit biased, I guess.

Do I like "ricers"? Yes, to a point I can honestly admit that I do. I prefer ones that have a cleaner look to them, without so much "bling" (wings, stickers, lights, overdone paint, huge wheels, etc), so to speak, rather than ones that appear to be overdone. Hell, my Vista is lowered on 17's, with a LARGE stereo system...some may consider THAT riced, I look at it as improving an already classic look with a SLIGHT altitude adjustment and wheels which fit the look of the vehicle...

I'll most DEFINETLY give props to 420, as even though his car is NOT my "cup of tea", so to speak, he appears to honestly enjoy his car, as well as enjoy working on it, so if the "ricer" look is what floats his boat, so be it...I'm more than willing to help him out when I can, although when it comes to the looks department I'll most likely keep my mouth shut so as not to offend him or make him feel like hes being made fun of....we ALL had to start out on or cars somewhere..at least he's making an effort to improve his car...whether we like it that way or not, its his car and hes doing it the way he wants to...more power to him, I say...

I believe that the area someone lives in can possibly influence their ideas of how they should dress up their car...I'm "assuming" that 420 is most likely from a larger area of PA, (by the way he wants to fix his car up, his choice of attire, as well as his grammar, sentence structure, and the way he "speaks") where there is a larger following of the "ricer" crowd than there is in my area...same with some of the others here who's rides tend to be more "pimped" out....since I'm away from the larger populated areas I don't see it as much around this area, where when I go to the larger cities its much more common.....just another reason why I LIKE living in Hicksville, USA

So, in closing...420, if YOU like it, thats really all that matters, isn't it??? I've taken shit time and time again for not choosing to "run with the crowd" and drive a Chevy, since they're supposedly so much cheaper and more common...ya know what? I LIKE being DIFFERENT and UNCOMMON, so F**K EM IF THEY DON'T LIKE IT!!!! Thats why we drive Olds!!!!

...and for my one SMALL cheap shot...look at it this way, 420..if your car does ever happen to break down, at least you have a grab handle on the back to push with now! (I hope you know I meant this good naturedly)

Did you just like...punch a couple holes through the rear deck for those 6x9"s? You should put a grill on top of those....the subwoofer neons look pretty cool... :o

Thats where the stock ones were mounted. All we had to do was drill holes for the bolts. Then we just cut holes in the carpet to show off the redness of the 6x9s. Eventually we will put grills on. Also today we ordered red bulbs to replace all the interior lights and trunk light.

People got their own personal taste...
88Ciera_SC likes to keep it simple and stock, while oldsmobile420 likes to rice his shit out. It's the way things are, we can't change the way either of you mod/or don't mod your cars. But we can give advice. Don't need to start a fight over it....88Ciera_SC, instead of insulting his car, just tell him what he could do to it (now now...hehe), and don't fight over something that's not going to get anywhere. I for one like the stock look of 88Ciera_SC...it's not everyday you see a nice looking car of that age. But that's my personal taste. We each got our own opinion, but I think it's right that as TOC Members, we shouldn't bash each others cars. Just point out stuff you don't like and say what you would do...
