I was introduced to this forum my Thumper88 at Car Audio Planet. My girlfriend acquired a 1994 Cutlass Supreme in the fall of 2002. Since then we have been too damned broke to put a system in it. The dash speaker location in this particular vehicle makes me really want a system in it! The location makes even the stock system sound decent!!!
I have a temporary system in the works. I got a Kenwood h/u last summer. I never installed it because the car has one of those "premium" systems. I know the dash speakers are 10 ohms, so I was not going to wire the stock speakers to the Kenwood. Who knows what would happen. I just Paypaled someone for a Lanzar 4 channel amp. Tomorrow I am going to send another guy a money order for some CDT coaxials for the dash. I plan to rip out the housings and create new ones out of 1/2" mdf so I can fit the 5.25" drivers.
For a sub I have an old Pioneer Premier TS-W1240C. I will put it in a 3 cube box tuned to 30hz. The box will later be used for my RE SE 12 once I get a new sub amp for my Ranger.
