This is gonna sound really stupid....what is a thread? Could this post be better explained? (Im a tad slow I guess)

He means, like my "Stripped Bolt" topic, no one replied to my problem, but I later followed up with what I did to solve it.

Well I always try to answer a post as good as I can but many times when it is one about car electronics or mechanical stuff that is more then something simple (oil change/ vaccum hoses) I dont know my @$$ from a hole in the ground.

Hi all
I'll try to clarify my first post.
A guy with a 1903 Curved Dash asks what might cause this ten second lag between the time I nail the gas and the time the car starts to move.
The next ten posts contain answers ranging from "you need a $900 Race carburetor" to "you need a $3000 torque converter".
The guy never posts back that a quart of trans fluid took care of it.
If he did post back, we would all learn from it.

yes... I thinkk I have one, but it was embarassing. I posted many times about my car missing, back firing and so on and so forth...

I fixed the problem. Changed the plug wires...

Yes, the plug wires. It was back firing and missing SOOO badly this one time, i jumped out and opened the hood just in time to actually see a brilliant blue spark jumping from one wire to the next at my terminal block. Quite amazed I found the problem that way, I couldnt figure out why spark problems would be causing back fire - I know now!!!

i think he had a good idea to go back and update every thread that we posted it will in turn help others and reduce multiple posts on the same thing.
