Hi All,

As you all can guess i want to locate the OBD in my car but i don't know where it is? :shock: by the way i havent got any gauge to receive data from it but they say you can also receive codes with inputing paper clip to the OBD? is it true if it is true how can i do that? also do we read codes from driver information system or from dash when we input to the OBD.. thanks again.

if you have a 1990, you've got the version before OBDII. It is called ALDL, there are major differences, say, if you wanted to go buy a scanner.

You can short two pins on the connector (under your dash, by the fuse panel drivers side).

here is a diagram of the connector, and the two pins to short out.

Do this with key off, and then turn the key to IGNITION, do not start the car. Better yet, read this page for any further instructions:
