Just wondering before I go and visit a few shops, what anyone here who has done prof. body work would think is a good price. My 85 Ciera coupe has minor surface rust near the rear drivers wheel well, some rust at the top of both from wheel wells (not visable unless you look up into the lip behind the chrome trim, rust and rot under the chrome trim on the passenger door (whole length under the trim (aprox 3 1/2 feet long by 2-3 inches high, and sand/paint inside of trunk which also has surface rust. None of this is visable with the trunk shut unless the car is up in the air, except for that little bit on the rear wheel lip. Think this is a $1000 job or maybe a few hundred? I want good work but it doesnt have to be show quality just want to stop the rust and keep it looking good.

expect to pay about 1,000 or maybe more you have to include labor rates and material cost hazzourouds waste all kinds of little bullshit goes into a estimate
and don`t forget about everything would have to come off to repair the rust and to paint also
there are places out there that will do it for 1,000 and it will come out decent but what i know about this trade i would rather go with the guy that is goin to charge me a higher price and a more repuablte shop i would feel better knowing that my car was repaired the right way
so anyway ya 1,000 or more sounds about right
