I am looking to replace the headliner on my '89 Delta 88. (I'm tired of the thing flopping down on my head, especially when I drive it with the windows down!! Any suggestions?

Hi dblack3000, 73Delta88, andrewk, hello everyone,

Now that it's been moved, I can finally reply.

Quote:
I am looking to replace the headliner ........

Factory glued it in place and it's not a job for the inexperienced.

My '87 had the same problem. Took it to the local upholstery shop in the morning. Paid the man $80 and drove it away in the afternoon. Looks like new. Don't know if he reglued, or replaced it and don't care.

One alternative is to rip it all out like I did with my Grey Coupe.

Fabric and bows weighed about 2# and the weight reduction enabled it to run high 11s at sea level.

Regards, Norm

I had the headliner in my 85 Cutlass Ciera replaced for $328, it needed all new fabric, and new visors, it looks brand new.

Hi RednBlackCutlass, all,

Checking to see if you were awake.

Actually it's an inside joke.

It's a reference to the first time DrRansom442 called me a liar. Seems, he didn't think my coupes would run sub 11s without gutting the interiors.

Regards, Norm

I wonder if anyone else appreciated that as much as I did.
