I can't get the blower motor on my '73 88 to come on. I've changed the fuse, it's good. Don't know if it's the switch, wiring or motor itself. The service manual says it's easy to pull the module that contains the switch out of the dash but I can't get it out. Thought I would start by jumping the switch to see if the motor would start. Anyone have any ideas? Sure would appreciate the help.

Doesn't help to replace a switch if the motor is bad.

Heat/AC switch for my '70 Cutlass was less than $20 from the dealer.

you could jump the switch, or use a test light and check for power at the fan motor with the ignition key on. if no power then check at the switch. that will help you narrow down where the problem is.

There is a device on the air plenum; engine compartment, passenger side, that has four wires to it. This is a group of three coils of wire that act like resistors which when switched by the heater/AC controls determines the blower motor speed. They are mounted in the air plenum so they will be cooled when the heater/AC is on. One of those wires can be burned "open" and the motor won't work, the others will just affect various speeds if they fail. Check that device out, it is mounted on the plenum with two small sheet metal type screws, maybe 3/8 size or smaller socket will fit. Good luck.
